Everyone is linked to an element, some have two elements (Mostly these are some of the races listed in the rulebook). On rare occasions an individual will have two elements linked to them.
There are four main gods on Yarm. Shakra, Julan, Gathos and Mekos. There are other gods that are worshiped but they tend to be insular to specific regions and cults.
The practising of necromancy is seen as an evil act and involves the suffering of a living creature to extract its power.
20 years ago a blight hit the world of Yarm and since then the armies of the Undead are spreading throughout the land.
Narhills are generally not readily accepted into the rest of Yarm due to their need to be around at night.
The casting of magic requires dexterity to cast. No armour can be worn as it effects the flow of magic. It may mean you just have to throw back your heavy furs, or remove your 1HP clothing/armour for example to absorb and cast magic.
Both magic and priestly spells can be recharged at any time, but both involve rituals.
You can have both an arcane and divine following if you have two elements.
If priestly magic is used against the ethos of the god that they prayed to then the god will revoke their powers, and they will be made to suffer.
Anyone can be of any alignment that follows any of the gods, however everyone is linked to an element, usually your god reflects this.
It is said that Dragons once ruled Yarm.
There has been a rise in the Undead, and currently the Undead are waging a war in the lands of the Liosses.
The Humans of Sukrise have failed to appoint another king since his death.
The Frostmen still wage war on each other, there seems to be two warring factions.
